Named configurations

Named configurations are configurations you save under a name you provide. You can save as many named configurations as you wish for a given window.

Most windows that let you save configurations contain a configurations button:

Windows with toolbars, such as the List window, use a Configs toolbar item instead of a configuration button in the window.

Click a configuration button to open a menu containing one or more of the following options:

No Configurations Available

An informational item stating there are no saved configurations are available for this window. Either no configurations have been saved for this window or any previously saved configurations have been deleted.

Available Configurations

A menu section header. The indented items under this item are configurations you have saved for this window.

<configuration name>

A saved configuration for this window. Choose a saved configuration to reload the settings stored in that configuration.

Save Configuration…

Save the current window settings as a named configuration. You will be prompted for a configuration name.

Clear This Menu

Deletes all configurations stored for this window. Does not affect configurations stored for other windows.

To delete a named configuration from a configurations menu, choose the configuration from the menu while pressing the Command key.
